WDW 2000

The millennium baseball from Walt Disney World. A special ball but does seem to be incredibly common. This ball has a special place in my heart as it started the collection when i bought it whilst on holiday in Florida in 2000. I didn't start collecting immediately though- it wasn't until 2003 that i really started looking for other baseballs.

As far as i am aware this was the first of the year balls, having never seen anything prior to it.

WDW 2001

Following on from the initial millennium 2000 ball is the WDW 2001 ball. Nice design, can be a little difficult to get hold of.

Where are you 2002?

The mystery that is 2002. I neither have nor have seen a 2002 Disney baseball and other collectors i talked to haven't either. It seems likely that one never existed but it does seem just a little strange that just this single year between 2000-2009 has been avoided.

Anybody know different? then please let me know!

WDW 2003

A nice holographic style ball from 2003. I bought this one from an Ebay seller in the States who seemed to have a never-ending supply of them! Excepting that person, you don't tend to see too many of these for sale.

WDW 2004

The ball shown here i consider to be 'quite rare' even more so than some of the earlier years. I only really started collecting at the end of 2003 and missed this one at the time but i'm not too sure why it is less common?

However, it has come to my attention that there is a second 2004 ball that is even more elusive (i don't have it!). I have seen a picture of it but have stupidly lost it on my laptop so can't add it now. I'll upload if i ever come across it again.

WDW 2005

This was purchased the last time i visited Disney World in 2005. It was the year of the 'happiest celebration on Earth' to mark Disneyland's 50th anniversary (of which there are seperate balls also).

WDW 2006

Unlike all other years the 2006 ball simply displays '06.' The blue area is holographic showing various headwear from Mickey, Donald and Goofy.

Disneyland 2007

The Disney 2007 ball. If you weren't already aware, Disney World and Disneyland (California), produce the same annual balls each year. The difference being one says 'Walt Disney World' and the other 'Disneyland Resort.' I don't know if 'true' collectors would have one of each but personally i suffice with one or the other. All of my other annuals are actually from Disney World. This coiincides with the year i visited Disneyland, however i actually purchased in advance of my visit not realising i would go later that year. How dumb?!

WDW 2008

This is the ball from this year which no doubt collectors will already have or at least seen. With the 2009 baseball now available i am not too sure if you can still order this one direct from WDW?

New Walt Disney World 2009

Its that time of year again when Disney start to release next years merchandise. That includes the 2009 baseball shown above. It looks pretty good to me but i am waiting for mine to arrive having just ordered it! Over the next few days i will be posting all the older annual versions.

New Disneyland Resort Paris

It's not often that Disneyland Paris release a new baseball but there is another about. I can't really confirm how 'new' it is but i hadn't seen it before it was added to my collection only a couple of weeks ago. I think this may be only the second baseball released at Disneyland Paris (please correct if i'm wrong!) and the other baseball will be shown in a later post.

In my opinion it is not a particularly great design being just a standard baseball with the Disneyland logo on each side.

You should be able to be use mail order but be warned that French is their primary language and the order may get confused i.e. Baseballs caps etc. I speak from experience!!!

Mail Order Info

Disney and Universal baseballs can be bought direct from Disney World, Disneyland, Disneyland Paris and Universal Studios Florida. They usually work out much cheaper than buying off ebay sellers!

I buy from Disney World most often, where it is best to buy 2 at a time if you live outside the USA and pay a set shipping fee of $10. Disneyland shipping for 2 baseballs is $20 so don't use unless the ball(s) is exclusive.
